Work for the Week of September 16th - Freshmen

Monday September 16th
Reading HW: Read "childhoodreading" selections (Matar, Vuong, Hadley).
HW: From each, choose (underline/mark) one moment that seemed especially memorable or that reminded you of something in your own life or resonated with you in some way.

Tuesday September 17th
Reading HW:
HW: Come to class tomorrow with three possible experiences you might write about. Those of you who feel stuck/worry that you won’t have anything to write about: dig in. Poke around your bookcases. Talk to your parents. Recall experiences, like Matar’s, that feel unclear or barely remembered.

Here are some of the prompts from today's lesson:
·         -What are your strongest memories of this reading experience? Where/who/do you remember
-When you think back, how do you feel?  Think of specific emotions.
-      -List information about the book, its cover, the characters, and plot.
·         -Connections between younger self and current self?

·         -Write about the sensory experience of this memory.

Wednesday September 18th
