Summer Reading List

I wrote a list of books that I think you might like.  Some are on my reading list for this summer.  The others are some of my recent favorites.  If you have any books that you'd like to share, please contribute to the comment section!

Ferencz’s Summer Reading List
So You've Been Publicly Shamed by Jon Ronson
A view into the modern world of public shaming, particularly in the internet age.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
Terrifying.  Redefines the novel in all conceivable ways.

Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi

The story of a secret book club in Tehran where professor and students read and analyze forbidden Western novels.

Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
The tracing of a intersex man's family saga.

Phantoms of the Brain by V.S. Ramachadrin
An exploration of the brain and how it works through its dysfunctions.

The Shining by Stephen King
A classic horror book. Nothing like the film.

Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion
A gorgeous portrait of American in the 1960s.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LISTEN TO THE PIXIES.
