Reading HW: N/A
HW: Write a letter explaining why you're taking this class.

Thursday February 4th
Reading HW: Read this entire Planned Parenthood page.
HW: Bring in two pictures, one that exemplifies masculinity and one that exemplifies femininity.

Friday February 5th
Reading HW: Read the following article about the science behind gendered toys and this one too!
HW: What toys did you play with as a child?  Did you choose your own toys or did your parents?  How did you learn about new toys?  Please bring in a childhood toy.

Monday February 8th - NO SCHOOL - LUNAR NEW YEAR

Tuesday February 9th
Reading HW: N/A
HW: Visit a toy store.  Conduct a field study.  How are toys marketed to boys/girls?  What colors/characteristics appear to indicate that a toy is for a boy/girl?  What characteristics do boy/girl toys share in common?  Take notes.
